You can make it a day trip, but I’d recommend spending at least one night or a weekend in San Miguel de Allende because it’s a long drive – about 4-5 hours from CDMX. This popular tourist destination is one of many Pueblos Mágicos (Magic Towns) in Mexico. The main attraction is La Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel in the main square, and even just walking around is beautiful. One of my favorite things to do in Bali is a beach One of my favorite things to do in Bali is a beach club day! With relatively affordable day pass VIP options, it’s a great way to spend a relaxing day. Each beach club has a different vibe. Sundays @sundaysbeachclub is more chill and seems more family-friendly. Finn’s @finnsbeachclub (which I also love) has a bit more of a party vibe. During the day they’re both great for relaxing though. VIP Day Beds at Sunday’s start at ~$170 for TWO people and ~$120 can be used on food and beverage. You will likely spend all of that, especially with drinks. You get a sunbed for 2 people, towels, amenity kits and all day access included in that price. Finn’s is slightly more affordable, starting around $120 for 2 people. Note that VIP is often 18+, but there are beachside options for families. This was honestly one of our favorite activities this trip, and my first time at Sunday’s. Highly recommend for a relaxing day!

Bangkok is an urban city, so green space is a luxu Bangkok is an urban city, so green space is a luxury. However, there are ways you can get fresh air and enjoy the tropical climate. Some of my favorites include Benjakitti Park, Lumpini Park and of course, Bangkachao or the Green Lung. The Green Lung is an awesome way to spend a day without spending too much money or having to spend hours in a car. It’s also kid friendly. There are a ton of parks, it’s very bicycle friendly, and there are cool monuments and markets all around. Here’s how to do it! - Head to Khlong Toei Pier, which is right in front of the Thai Customs Port. You’ll see a 7/11 next to an entrance to Wat Khlong Toei Nok. - Go to the end of the alley and you’ll see a stand selling tickets for a boat that comes regularly. It’s no more than a few baht. You can take a long tail too but don’t let them fool you into enormous prices. - Across the river, you will get dropped off at the dock where many people rent bikes. You can choose whichever one suits you from 50 baht to 400 baht depending on the quality. I usually go with a middle option. You will give them an ID as collateral - There’s no wrong way to bike around but some spots you don’t want to miss include: Mahadevalai Ganesha Statue 🗿, Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park & Botanical Garden 🌸 , Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market 💧& Hidden Woods 🌴 ! - There are many local places to eat that are great and I’ve done this many times. Hidden Woods is a little trendier and more comfortable and has a cool ambiance. Don’t miss it!

Before stumbling upon this museum, I had no idea t Before stumbling upon this museum, I had no idea this incredible Diego Rivera mural existed. Location at the end of the video! Anyone who knows Mexico City knows Rivera’s (& Frida’s) work. Most people have been to the Diego Rivera mural museum, but I don’t know anyone who has been to this one! Located in the heart of Chapultepec Park is the home of Rivera’s mural, “Water, Origin of Life”. This mural aims to connect the concept of water with art, science, environment and engineering. The beautiful mural was painted in 1951 and recently restored. The music in the video is a reference to what it sounds like inside. The museum is a sensory experience. 🪻JACARANDA SEASON 🪻 Ever since we moved to M 🪻JACARANDA SEASON 🪻 Ever since we moved to Mexico City, I’ve had two favorite seasons - Jacaranda Season & Pan de Muerto Season (IYKYK). Every year in March these beautiful purple trees bloom and bring joy to our city. So next time, skip DC and Tokyo and head to Mexico City - no lines here 😉 In 1930, the president of Mexico decided he wanted cherry trees 🌸 in Mexico City after a spring visit to DC. He tapped Tatsugoro Matsumoto, the Chapultepec gardener and a Japanese immigrant to bring this dream to life. However, cherry trees aren’t suitable for Mexico City because they require a drop to a low temperature to bloom. Hence, jacarandas are Matsumoto’s lasting legacy on the city - and what a good one they are! - Best time to view: mid-March, but they bloom between about March 1 - April 15 - Best places to see them: Parque Alameda, Avenida Reforma, Avenida Veracruz, Fuente de Cibeles Which other amazing places in Mexico City do you go to see the jacarandas? 🪻#jacaranda #mexicocity🇲🇽 #mexico #spring #blossom #visitcdmx #visitmexico
💅🏻Hands down no one does beauty better than 💅🏻Hands down no one does beauty better than Asia. So you know my last day in Bangkok was spent getting my nails and eyelashes done and then getting a massage. In the case of nails, I’m wildly loyal to @kaekai_salon when in Bangkok. The process: - Go in, take a number, wait until someone can see you (I go at 7 am to avoid a wait). - Show them a photo of your nail Inspo - they can do virtually anything. - Get your nails done! Usually there’s someone for the mani & another person for art. This design took ~2 hours. It’s all gel polish. - Total cost for normal pedi, gel mani, and artwork ~$30 USD - Don’t forget to tip your manicurists/pedicurists! It’s usually ~3 people. These babies are going on over FIVE WEEKS and still no chips. At this point I’ll need to get them redone soon because of length, but I’m truly amazed by the work of this salon, per usual. It is truly a magical place for me, and I’m lucky to have insider insight to this amazing city. If you’re going to BKK, here are my top tips: 🍜 EAT - I think the best thing to do in BKK is eat. In fact, you could go there JUST to eat. I will do a whole post on my fav places and recent finds. 🤟LEARN - A little bit of Thai will go a long way - Sawadeeka (hello), Krap Khun Ka (thank you), Nid Noi Pet (little bit spicy). 💆‍♀️RELAX - Going to any place for a foot massage is great. We went everyday. I do like @lekmassagebangkok for a chain. For higher end or onsen check out @letsrelaxspa.official or @letsrelaxonsen.official 📱DOWNLOAD - Grab App @grabth - can be used to order taxis, motorbikes, food, etc. Motorbike taxi is the fastest way around the city. The BTS skytrain and metro are also great, clean and safe. 👏 STAY - Check out the amazing neighborhoods like Charoenkrung, Thong Lor, Ekkamai, Sathon & Silom. There are so many. Charoenkrung is my current fav with its artsy, edgy scene. 🙌🏻 DO - Be respectful. All temples require you to wear long pants, cover your shoulders & midriff and take off your shoes. 💧HYDRATE - BKK is HOT. Make sure to go slow, take breaks, wear sunscreen, and drink water. Sounds basic but you would be surprised. 🙅‍♀️ DON’T - Go for sex tourism or ping pong shows. Let’s just not. HOW TO - Hong Kong’s Most Beautiful Hike MacLeho HOW TO - Hong Kong’s Most Beautiful Hike MacLehose Trail Section II From Sai Wan Pavilion to Ham Tin Beach This is my second time doing the MacLehose Section II trail hike and I want to tell you how to do it so you can experience it too! If you’re not hiking in HK, you’re missing out! Here are my instructions on how to do this beautiful hike! 🥾Take the HK Metro to Hang Hau Station 🥾 Get a RED taxi to Sai Kung (have them drop you off at the taxi stand) around 15-20 min 🥾 Take a GREEN taxi to Sai Wan Pavilion - most drivers will know, but you can show them a map or picture - around 20-30 min 🥾 Begin your hike! Follow the signs for Sai Wan - it will be clear and you will see other hikers 🥾Follow the trail for about 60-90 minutes to Ham Tin Beach. Along the way, you’ll go through a little village, several beaches, and you’ll see some buffalo🐃 ! They’re harmless. 🥾 HOT TIP - it’s easy to miss the swimming cove on the hike - put Sheung Luk Stream into google maps to find it. IMO it’s one of the best parts of the trail. 🥾 From Ham Tin Beach, go to Hoi Fung Store to get speed boat tickets back to the city! They don’t always run (both times I went there were no speed boats) so be prepared to hike back. If you go back to Sai Wan Pavilion, just wait for a taxi - they come regularly. I had a list of about 40 places, and of course, we were only able to try a handful of them. For those interested in specialty coffee - you can find coffee from all over the world (Ethiopia, Kenya, Panama, etc) with every process (natural, washed, etc) available. The coffee culture is more about methods - Aeropress, Pour Over, Siphon, etc. - than milk and espresso-based options. However, you can obviously get a latte too. These were a few places we loved: ☕️ Kubrick - A combination bookstore & coffee shop, they have excellent options for coffee and processes. They’ll also recommend a process for a specific coffee, which tells you they’re very good. ☕️ Halfway Coffee - This shop has many locations, we went to the one in Mong Kok. Tiny but cute and they serve coffee in cool vintage cups. ☕️ %Arabica - Simple, no methods, just espresso coffee. We went to the one in Monster Building. Originally from Japan. ☕️ Project C - Minimalistic but expert. If I could give HK’s vibe a name it would be “ If I could give HK’s vibe a name it would be “Jazzy Vintage”. While the city’s skyscrapers scream “new,” when you really get to know the corners of the city away from the hustle and bustle, it has a cozy, vintage feel. This was my 4th trip to HK and my husband’s 1st. Because of this, we did some of the classic sites and also some more exploratory things. Here are my top recommendations for what to do in HK! This is truly just the tip of the iceberg though. 🥾HIKE - If hiking interests you, you’d be completely missing out by not hiking in HK. Do Victoria Peak and for more adventurous souls, MacLehose Section 2. 🏔️ VICTORIA PEAK - Hike up or take the peak tram for (usually) stunning views of the city. Try to get a seat at the front of the tram for the best views. 🛍️ SHOP - Check out Harbour City Mall & K11 Musea for big malls as well as Toy Street, Star Street & Tai Kwun for more local shopping. ☕️ DRINK COFFEE - Some favorites - Halfway Coffee, %Arabica and Kubrick. ⭐️ STAR FERRY - Ride the star ferry from HK Island to Kowloon. Then explore Kowloon neighborhoods like Mong Kok & Sham Shui Po! ⛩️ VISIT TEMPLES - Some popular ones include Wan Chai Pak Tai Temple, Man Mo Temple, and Chi Lin Nunnery. 🥟 EAT DIM SUM - We went to Din Tai Fung, a real classic but there are TONs of options. 🏢 LOOK UP - I find all the buildings in HK so interesting and iconic. The next place you should visit is… HONG KONG 🇭🇰 One of the many reasons why I love Hong Kong is because it’s truly so dynamic. In one day you can hike to a beach, jump in a waterfall, eat at excellent restaurants surrounded by skyscrapers, go out until 4 AM, and so much more. This was my 4th visit to this city and it’s just as good as I remember. A few of my favorite things to do in Hong Kong include: - Hike - Victoria Peak is classic and MacLehose is probably my favorite - Visit the endless amazing coffee shops - Look up - the buildings are full of history - Go to dinner in SoHo - Go out in LKF (Lan Kwai Fong) - although this was more in my twenties 😂 What interests you about Hong Kong? Also visit the many beaches like Frigate Bay and Cockleshell beach. As promised, here is my review & room tour of The As promised, here is my review & room tour of The Fleming Hotel in Hong Kong 🇭🇰! ⭐️10/10 rating in my book, why? - Incredible design and attention to detail. There is a nautical theme throughout and customized details from the light switches to the “Do Not Disturb” sign were so elegant. - The location is excellent. Close to the metro and great restaurants. The room came with a little custom map of places to visit in the neighborhood. - Despite being in the thick of the city, it was super quiet and the bedding was insanely comfortable. This was so essential for us after a long, long flight. It was amazing to come back to a comfortable space after a long day. - They upgraded us from a Small to a Medium room and gave us free breakfast. This was so generous and all space is a gift in Hong Kong! I would definitely stay here again! ——————————————————————— Como prometí, aquí está mi reseña y recorrido por las habitaciones del The Fleming Hotel en Hong Kong 🇭🇰. ⭐️ Calificación de 10/10 en mi opinión, ¿por qué? - Increíble diseño y atención al detalle. Tiene temática náutica y detalles personalizados, desde los interruptores de luz hasta el letrero de “No molestar”, eran muy elegantes. - La ubicación es excelente. Cerca del metro y de excelentes restaurantes. La habitación tenía un pequeño mapa personalizado de lugares para visitar en el vecindario. - A pesar de estar en el centro de la ciudad, era súper tranquilo y la lencería era increíblemente cómoda. Esto fue muy esencial para nosotros después de un vuelo muy, muy largo. Fue increíble volver a un espacio confortable después de un largo día. - Nos pasaron de una habitación pequeña a una mediana y nos dieron desayuno gratis. ¡Esto fue muy generoso y todo el espacio es un regalo en Hong Kong! ¡Sin duda me alojaría aquí de nuevo! #travel #travelgram #travelblogger #hongkong #asiatravel #hotel #hoteldesign #hotelreview
