One of the best things to eat in Italy besides pasta and pizza are paninis and prosciutto, and these places have some of the best panini and prosciutto in Milan. Milan has so many good places to grab a quick panini or sit down with friends to have a large charcuterie board and several bottles of wine. This was one of my favorite things to do in Milan, and this is my list of my favorite restaurants serving panini and prosciutto in Milan. Panini de Santis ($$)
Panini de Santis is a well known panini place. It’s a tiny, old school storefront located in the center of the city not too far from Duomo. You can either eat there or get your panini to go. Their prices are pretty high for Milano, but the paninis are very good. I would go at least once to try it, especially because they combine some interesting, less common flavors.
La Prosciutteria ($$)
La Proscuitteria is one of my favorite places to go with friends in Milan. It absolutely is the place to get prosciutto in Milan. You will need a reservation. This is another place where you tell them how many people you have at your table and they will build you an enormous charcuterie board. It’s very casual, you order at the counter, and they bring you your food. It’s super fun to do with friends and/or visitors. Don’t forget to order several bottles of wine to go with your charcuterie board!
Associazione Salumi e Vini Naturale ($$)
This casual wine bar and salumi place is another great date spot. Located in the heart of Brera, they have all natural wines, so you’re always able to taste something new. I like to pop in an sit at the bar, but they also have indoor and outdoor seating areas. It’s a great spot for a date night, and my husband and I would go there often.
e/n Enoteco Naturale ($$)
I have actually never eaten much here because we’ve always gone for aperitivo. This is a natural wine bar located in a large garden beside a beautiful church. I love the location and the wine is amazing. I highly recommend it for aperitivo or more. They do have a small menu, despite me never trying it. It’s pretty hard to get a table, so book in advance.
Panini Giusto ($)
This is a chain, but I really like it. It’s sometimes hard to find a quick place to have a bite in Milan because it’s somewhere where people sit down and really enjoy a meal over an hour or two. This is not a bad thing, but if you want something quick and easily available, Panini Giusto has something for everyone. Not only do they have paninis, but they also have some great salads.
Macelleria Salumeria Matteu ($)
This place is kind of random, but it was right by my school and I would always go there to get a quick sandwich for lunch. They have so many options and you can basically build your own panini. If you’re in the Navigli area, it’s worth stopping in for a quick bite. They have no tables, so it’s more of a to-go place.
